About Middlesex County Criminal History

Middlesex County criminal records are divided among local police, the Sheriff's Office, Adult Corrections, municipal courts, the Superior Court in New Brunswick, and statewide agencies. The New Jersey State Police maintains fingerprint-based criminal history, while NJ Courts and the New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry serve different public needs. This private reference resource organizes those distinct channels so readers can identify the proper portal, mailing address, counter, or phone route without assuming that one office keeps every record.

Why We Built This Site

New Jersey offers several official routes, yet access depends on the custodian. A police department keeps the report it created. Middlesex Adult Corrections handles current county custody, and the Judiciary keeps municipal and Superior Court case files. The New Jersey State Police, State Bureau of Identification maintains fingerprint-linked Criminal History Record Information, not a public name-search portal for another person's rap sheet. NJDOC and the New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry add separate corrections and public-safety records. This resource brings those official contacts, request paths, fees, and search tools into a county-focused reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Official check steps: how a person requests their own fingerprint-based record through New Jersey State Police and IdentoGO
  • Record guides: how Middlesex County court cases, arrest records, custody data, and public registry entries are found and read
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the Sheriff, Adult Corrections, Middlesex Vicinage, and statewide record systems
  • Record relief: where New Jersey expungement instructions and electronic filing tools are maintained

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a New Jersey court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Its help has firm limits:

  • We cannot issue a certified court record, rap sheet, police report, or registry document
  • We cannot submit an OPRA request, expungement case, or other filing for a visitor
  • We cannot retrieve an official record or conduct an official background check
  • We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, conviction, or legal remedy for a specific person
  • We cannot promise that an agency's current fee, address, phone, or procedure has not changed

Only the office that owns a record, such as the court, police agency, Sheriff, Adult Corrections, or New Jersey State Police, can issue its official copy.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. Each provider controls its service, prices, matching methods, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free resource. Middlesex County Criminal History does not control the provider's charge or the content it returns.
