Official Middlesex County records come from the agency that created or maintains them. Court files belong with the New Jersey Judiciary, local reports with the responding police department, current county custody data with Adult Corrections, and a person's own statewide criminal history with New Jersey State Police. The contacts below route each request to its proper New Brunswick or state office. Middlesex County Criminal History is private and cannot accept a records request or issue a government document.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

The Sheriff's Office is not the clerk for every criminal record. For arrest complaints, indictments, plea agreements, judgments, or dismissals held by the Prosecutor, use the Middlesex County Prosecutor's OPRA channel at 25 Kirkpatrick Street, 3rd Floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Verify current counter hours and Judiciary extensions through the official agency directory before visiting.
